 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress, comedian, activist) is a comedian. After moving to America she was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her first professional work was as a child actor. From 2013 until 2016, she was the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams, and since 2020. She gained fame for her roles in television commercials. In addition to commercial appearances, she was an actor in the series on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction show Other Space (2015). She was also regularly featured in the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub was initially selected to voice the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. When she was just two she emigrated together with her parents to U.S. to escape antisemitism. She was able to settle in West Hollywood. Due to her family's financial difficulties and her own financial struggles, she began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit following her sophomore year. She obtained a GED and went to pursue the Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the University of California, San Diego. She learned how to perform improv from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
